nine muse media specializes in digital photography and video, and also in the other digital fields of web design and music production.  From the creative end, we like to touch all of our work with an artist’s hand.  The engine that drives our creative work is mostly comprised of full- and part-time artists.  Our results distinguish themselves through provocative imagery and careful execution of clever ideas.

the main players

matt larson (em-el):  our primary photographer and video director has experience writing, directing, shooting, and editing short films, music videos, documentaries, commercials, and his own art films.  With a background in music and many years into a variety of instruments, he has scored and made soundtracks to most of these projects.  As a photographer, he primarily shoots musicians, jewelry and editorial style ads.  In an  effort to bridge photography and narrative, he has created a graphic novel series (The Watchman), and is currently planning another series for a larger audience.

heather hansen:  fashion and costume designer, set designer, dancer and choreographer, art director extraordinaire, and now full-time fresco artist, she has accomplished creatively in one lifetime what many artists need mind-expanding drugs just to dream about.  Her input to the ‘mise en scene’ has often made the difference between a good and an excellent shot, and her sense of humor is irresistible, which is why we try never to come up with an idea, snap a photo, or roll camera without her close at hand.
